Nigerian Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, has said that most people are too busy planning weddings instead of reflecting on the true meaning of marital vows.

Fr. Ugwu said this on Friday, September 3, while reacting to the marriage drama between Annie Idibia and Tuface.

“I promise to be TRUE to you in GOOD times and in BAD.” This is one of those strong words you say during marriage. We can even write a PhD thesis analysing what it means to be true to someone in good times and in bad,” the priest wrote.

“Unfortunately, most often, the time people spend to share aso ebi (uniform party cloth) and selecting style for nails and haircut and choosing bestman will not allow them sit down and reflect if actually they truly mean those words.”
