Dean Bergeron Obituary, Death – I was interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the political science curriculum that is offered at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. This would allow me to make a more educated choice regarding the subject matter that I would like to study while I was a student there. On the very first day of my first year, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to spend time with Dean Bergeron. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity.
When I reached his office, I noticed that there were children lounging around and hanging around. I was surprised to see them. Their presence came as a complete surprise to me. During the time that they were kidding about with Professor Dean Bergeron, other students were coming in and out to say hello. While they were doing so, they were talking about international politics and other issues that were occurring all over the world.
The image of a big number of students congregating in an office with a professor was peculiar to me; however, it was immediately evident to me that he had a tremendous following; it was as if the scenario had been pulled straight from a movie. On that particular day, Dean made me feel welcome and comfortable, just like he did for everyone else. This served as confirmation for me that a major in political science was the best option for me to pursue. Everyone benefited from Dean’s actions.
