AEW Star Rush Unveils Injury Suffered During Continental Classic Tournament

AEW has a few stars on the roster who are not able to wrestle right now. It appears that we can add another name to that list, as Rush is injured.

Rush wrestled in AEW’s first-ever Continental Classic tournament, but he did so with a nagging injury that added an extra layer of challenge to his in-ring performances. Rush disclosed on social media that he suffered a torn hamstring during his second match in the Continental Classic.

Despite the physical setback, Rush soldiered on during the tournament, as he wrestled in three additional tournament matches and even contributing to an eight-man tag bout at Worlds End.

In the #AEWContinentalClassic I tore my hamstring in the second match I had. I will recover and return ready and hungrier than ever for a fight.

The extent of Rush’s hamstring tear and the length of his absence from the ring were not stated in his announcement. He seems very certain with himself to make a return very soon.

Rush participated in a multi-man tag team match at the Worlds End pay-per-view, where he joined forces with Lethal, White, and Brody King, ultimately facing defeat against the formidable quartet of Briscoe, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Daniel Garcia.

We will keep our eye on Rush and the rest of the AEW roster. You never know what will break next, but we will be here with all the headlines you need, right here at Ringside News.
