Nas Previews A Collab With J Dilla & Madlib At SXSW

Nas was the headlining guest at the BBQ party put on by his label, Mass Appeal, last night at SXSW. Next month, Mass Appeal is planning to release a posthumous album by legendary Detroit producer J Dilla titled The Diary, and during last night's party, Nas decided to play one of the cuts off the album, "The Sickness," which features himself as well as production contribution from Madlib, in addition to those of Dilla. Jay Dee also raps on the track, as he did on last month's "The Introduction," the first release off The Diary

The sound quality of the video recording isn't great, though it's good enough to know that "The Sickness" is gonna be something nasty, which should've been obvious already considering the three artists behind the track. In addition to Nas, The Diary is set to feature Snoop Dogg, Boogie, Bilal, and more, and in addition to Madlib, Dilla's posthumous production companions will include Pete Rock and Hi-Tek.
